Mr. Melaccio Sr. I am sadden to hear that you are "Saying Good Bye" to SearchWarp, and I for one, on behalf of our sincerest friendships, will miss your brilliant, and well informed articles. Be it politics, or religion, you were always there, to give your thoughts, and to encourage each and every one of us, to become involved in our government, both on the local level, as well as Capitol Hill. I cannot let this day go by, without saying what I feel, about how you have impacted my life, and opened my eyes to what goes on around us, and demanding, yes, demanding that we do not take a complacent posture as to what, and how, our government is doing things. This is a great thing you have done.
As we all know, they always say that there are two things that one should not talk about, and that is politics and religion. Well, the way I see it, there was never any arguments to be had, only informed and well researched opinions. Truth be known, you have given me through the knowledge and wisdom of your articles, enough inspiration to make me want to get involved. Did you see my article about Letter to The President. Inspired by Article by David Tanguay? Well, your suggestions to become involved has had a impact on me to the point that I did. You do make a difference to the readers. I have written to my Governor about issues that I do not agree with, and I have written the white house. Your advice to "Pay Attention to what is happening around us, the little guy", has rang loud and clear. And you are right! I sat down one night, and watched a movie about "Protocol" with the lovely Goldie Hawn, and what you say is the truth. There was a piece at the end of the movie, where she was in court, and she made a statement that simply implied that "We the people, or I the people, will watch our government ....... "Like a Hawk".... Now why did I think of you when I heard that?
You are one of a kind Robert, and will be truly missed by this writer. I will not forget you, and I would certainly like to tell you that you do have fans on this forum, I being one of many. It is obvious that you will be greatly missed, and I wish I could put the old "ball and chain" on you to make you stay, and I say that with the most sincerest respect. You WILL be missed my friend. I look forward to you adding an article from time to time, and visit your old friends back here on SearchWarp, as you wisdom and intelligence is needed here, as well as welcomed. Thank you for all of your support in my short time that I have been hear....you have been a dear friend. Your friend and Fan.......Gary W. Halsey Sr.

Another great write, that shows how much you respect and care for others here on SearchWarp. I have found this to be such a close family, and although I'll probably never meet any of the authors in person, I feel a real bond of friendship.Me too David....I feel a very strong one with you, because of our love for poetry, and you are one of the best I have read. I sincerely mean that. You have this wonderful gift of imagery that I have ever witness in poetic writes. You can literally "SEE" what you are talking about. The belong in a religious book some of them, some belong in a childrens books, and some belong in poetry books for all to read...they are unique, heartfelt, and so very well written, it just pierces every part of my fiber to read them.....so, that said.....are you still checking up on writing the book? I honestly thing they would sell....can you imagine....book signings, poetry forums, conventions, and next......the red carpet.....a movie ....... hey, don't laugh, they did that with Edgar Allen Poe. Okay, not the red carpet....but definately the movies!!! So I have a reason to call you my friend as well as family....I love your work, and so many more folks on here. That is why I will miss Robert. I'm sure he will do fine....but he has been like a fixture around here.... Thanks for reading my article David, and sorry for the long comment, you know me, get me goin' and ya can't shut me up....Your friend and fan.........GaryGary, you're too kind, but I do appreciate all your encouragement. Actually, one of the members here, Nicolas Gordon, who is a poet, has several books on a website called Cafepress. It seems like a good place to start and with very little cost, so I am now gathering enough poems (my favourite ones) and will be looking at getting things started. Who knows, if I just make a little to add to my pension income, I may be able to work less hours at the funeral home, or maybe save for a vacation. That would be great, it is certainly worth checking into....I know to publish a full blown poetry book, and I am talking anywhere from 40 to 60 poems, I have been quoted 10,000.00 to print and add pictures to the book, to warehouse them, book signings and ect....it's expensive for one to go it alone....it used to be, a publisher would review your manuscript, see if the content is worthy, and wa - la, book would be published at their expense, and they, like you, would get royalties from the book, not anymore...I guess to many publishers, have risk too much, and they simply don't do that anymore, unless your like a Stephan King or someone like that, then they will flip the expense and chance it.....I too, would like to see your work out there....my poetry is lengthy....it wouldn't work to well in a book, lol....call me gabby. Your pal, and fan.......Gary.
Gary, thanks for your most kind thoughts and this article. Now some may think that I am venturing out for my own gain or even ego but that is not the cause. I have been working with a local church and some friends with ambitions to spread what I am writing and more so to America where we strongly feel the battle is. There is a definitive class distinction and the little guy, the believer is under attack by fact and deed. You shall know them by their works quite evident anywhere one looks. Do I need to be "the voice" no. One voice nothing an empty clang in the wilderness, together a mighty symbol that can be heard all over. Now I thought long and hard and my decisions based on what I saw of the reader base and as explained in my last article. Now Gary don't let anyone tell you they only write for themselves. They write to reach as many as possible, especially with reality and truth. No, not for popularity in every case but a message, much different. Some for notoriety some with a zeal. I am humbled that I reach so many offshore and persons such as yourself and others of high standards and values on Searchwarp. I was and still am disappointed I evidently do not reach the little guy, families, ordinary folk, in America more. It is our kids and familes I write for nothing else. In fact just today I posted a number of articles to my site concerning the little guy. I am sincerely honored you took action but Gary that is you. You need not I pr anyone because you are a man of your own standing. I am just glad I was an influence in some small way or perhaps a motivator. I am saddened many more sit idly along the sidelines even while their neighbors perish. [An article I am working on - where is the Christian Love of Neighbor, must they be qualified?] I will be back from time to time because I do want to continue to reach out on this site that I have so many rewarding experiences and friendships on. As Teresa stated, don't think about leaving, think about your goals and what you want to accomplish as a writer and perfect that. Jean and Bruce gave us all a great opportunity that we all must cherish. best wishes and don't be a stranger. RobertThank you so much Robert, for your spirit in doing the right thing. I have always, and will always look at you, as our Paul Harvey of SearchWarp. He told it like it was, and I respected him as well. He, like you, are in a catagory of your own. Their could never be another like him, or you. You are a person that I have the deepest respect for, not because of opposition in what you write, (although I love the fact that you say what most people think, but you actually say it)!! I love that about your articles and way of thinking. but I also respect your ability to research, and the work you put into your writing. Well thought out, and well executed. I can tell that you care for the little guy....I am one, we can tell. I for one, am going to keep my ear to the track, as I am sure I will hope to your site, and not miss out on what is going on...God bless you Robert, you are my friend, and I am honored to have you as one.....Keep up the good work, and don't make yourself a stranger either....Your fan....and sincere friend, ......... Gary.
