Okay, you're probably wondering what does Gary have up his sleeve now. Well, I want to be like all of my favorite writers, my fans that I have selected to be a part of their fan club! I am not critiquing anyone; rest assured, I just want to write about those who inspire me. I will do this at least once a week, because it is impossible to write about everyone I want to write like, all in one week, so I will break it up in parts. I will call this Part !. I love all of my favorite writers, and as always, this is a tribute to them. Stay tuned for Part II
My Hero's whom I hope to learn from:
Robert Melaccio, Sr. is blessed with the ability to keep his sights set some very serious, and real topics, politics and religion, I admire him for the research, and knowledge this man has, to write about what he writes about. His articles are not only excellent, but factual, not to mention consistent, and he reports his point of view, about these very important topics that we all care about, I wish one day, I could be that concentrated on a given subject, his articles are great, and hold my attention, from beginning to end, not to mention that he has a very good sense of humor. I love his work! He is one of the most consistent men that I have ever known. Robert, you inspire me.
Then there is Ken McCreless, whose passion, as well as his "flexibility" of his subject matter, has written some of the most wonderfully written literary pieces, that are not only deep, but thought provoking as well. Ken is a person that I am proud to be a member of his fan list, both knowledgeable, and always has kind words to say in his reviews and comments, he too, has his own unique way of writing that holds my attention. What wonderful and knowledgeable man you are! Ken, you inspire me!
Then there is Christine Akiteng, with her wisdom of trying to help those who perhaps need a second point of view about the "How To's" (Or Don'ts) of dating. She too, has a unique insight of what she writes about. Her wonderful articles always hold my attention from beginning to end, and I have come to know her as being wonderfully blessed in the sense that she is there to help others, and believe me when I say, their are those out there that can use this wisdom and help. She has a unique insight, being raised amongst her people in Africa, of how to live socially, as well as a in-depth knowledge of the traditions of her roots, and who she is. She is another great writer. Christine, you inspire me!
How about David Pekrul, we all know that he works in a funeral home, and is exposed to death on a daily basis. His experience and skills as a poet are so profound, that even I, as a poet, have no idea where he gets his inspiration, and his deep love of life, and humanity. I hope to be as good as he is in my poetry one day.... His latest one that he wrote about, which is a revised edition of "My Way" sung by Frank Sinatra, he has cleverly re-wrote the song, and called it "And Do It God's Way" (Song), is a must read, I guarantee that it will leave you singing that song, I did!! His poetry really inspires me to be a better poet any way that I can.... what a gift, and I would encourage all to read his wonderful works, (I keep asking him when he is going to get published)? David, you inspire me!
I love the way Nancy Daniels writes, she has a host of subjects that she likes to write about, ranging from, "Oh, You're From Jersey", to "Can Someone Explain The Writers Club To Me". Wow that was a good one, check out the comments on that one! I like Nancy's style of writing, she has a flair that can spark interest, and hold you from beginning to end, and she always encourages others to keep writing, and never has a bad thing to say when it comes to creativity, she is interesting, and thought provoking in all of her articles, and I chuckled about the last article I mentioned, as I was wondering what she was thinking when she received all those responses from the fan club article. It was great! That is a must readI also loved her latest, she always points out the good things, even about New Jersey, and she was right! I love your style Nancy you inspire me.
Teresa Ortiz is always inspirational, she is an exceptional writer, and I believe she has touched everyone, one way or the other. She always has such wonderful articles, as she writes about her life, her family, and her love of her savior!. What an inspiration she is, I love the way she inspires us all, isn't that what a writer does? I have never been disappointed by what she writes about. Sometimes she makes me laugh hysterically, and sometimes she writes something that will bring tears to this ole' cowboys eyes. I would be delighted if I could touch everybody's feelings, and lives, they way Teresa has. Teresa, you inspire me.

Top-level comments on this article: (7 total)Gary, I am generally not good at receiving compliments -- I receive yours with much humility. I know you mean every word and everything you’ve written about the other authors comes sincerely from your heart. It’s one thing I’ve come to appreciate you for. You give genuinely and your give generously. If I inspire you, it’s because you inspire me. I read your articles even though our worlds are so apart and some of the things you write about I simply can’t relate to. I read everything you write because people like you, Bruce, Jean and a few others hold up a different kind of reflection in the mirror: one of unconditional acceptance, fairness, and a non-judgemental non-patronizing reaching out to those who might be considered “different” and as a result are invisible or feel like unwelcome outsiders. For me, that’s KINDNESS I do not take for granted. I couldn’t ask for a better friend here on Searchwarp.
Keep on being yourself, and without even trying, you’re making the world a better place -- a more loving place. You certainly made my world here on Searchwarp a more welcoming and loving place. Because of you I am a little bit more involved whereas before I just posted my articles and minded my own business…:-)
Thank you for this very kind tribute. I appreciate it. BTW how much for the great promo ad?... :-)Christine, Not a dime for the promo ad, it is sincere, and I really admire allot of fine talented folks here on SearchWarp, and I am a groupie when I can be....it is so relaxing to sit and read other peoples thoughts and also their wisdoms. I learn allot on here, as I am sure you do. There are tragedy's, drama, politics, religion, action, adventure, comedy, and one of my personal favorites poems. Thanks for your kind comments, and your reading this, your friend and fan.......Gary...
Hi Gary,You are a man of good taste. hee, hee. I too would love to have the combined talent and gifts of the others mentioned here in this piece and many other talented writers as well. Like being in ken's brain for instance! I love Robert's boldness and Christine's ability to communicate with such ease. And you, well, you are in a league all your own. Great witt and a source of enocuragement to all! Not to mention your incredible sense of humor, which in book, is a great asset. Thanks for all you do for all of us! Blessings to you! TeresaExplore my brain if you like, Teresa, but put on your best Indiana Jones outfit and be ready to run!! And pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!!Teresa, wouldn't it be great to at least have a little bit of each writer in your work, You would have one darn good story to tell. I pick my favs wisely, and you have to have that kind of writing that grabs me right out the gate, and all of my fan base has that....I love being your fan, and I am honored that you read my material. I love reading yours if its not apparent enough!!! lol......seriously, you are one good writer, and your heart is in everything you do.....thanks for reading this, and thanks a bunch for the comments....Your fan, and friend in pen......Gary.
Wow, Gary. Thank you for the kind words. Your grasp of the obvious is uncanny! J/K!! Seriously, I appreciate the support and I am watching your writing career with great interest.Write On, Dude!!Ken....hahhahahahha my grasp of the obvious is uncanny? hahahhahahaha, good one, but it is true, I must say, and what you just told Teresa is true, about the Indiana Jones, I think they should make whatever is in your thoughts a ride at Magic Mountain......I'm sure folks would find that the most thrilling ride in the park!! hahahaha! Seriously though, you are wonderful at putting the words together about how you feel, and what you think...you are a straight shooter, and you tell it like it is, with a twist of humor, although you and I both know, some things that you go through in life, is not always a bowl of cherries, and you write about it well. God Bless you for that, and for your wonderful support and comments that you have afforded me. You are a class act in this writers eyes.....Your pal, and friend in pen.......and fan.....Gary......( I like long endings) lol
Gary thank you for your most kind sentiments. I concur that the ones you singled out write extremely well. I think all who write and expose themselves to criticism, critique, evaluation, comments and yes abuse such as yourself are to be commended for taking such a bold step and bringing enlightenment, humor, stories, counseling and perspectives to the world that may otherwise never be considered or known. As for myself, well I'll accept your opinion most humbly and thank my Dad, who was a man of honor and integrity. He was an average working man but his character was impeccable. He always said, if you feel your in the truth you must speak out against wrong or hold your peace. I try to honor him because I have seen first hand his suffering at he hands of professors and supposed friends and religious and yes even family. He was truly a man of honor, a family man of family values and a believer who defended friend or foe when it was necessary and when truth needed to be spoken. Yes and he was always ready to offer a hand of apology and forgiveness when required. Thank you most humbly for your estimate of me, I will y to live up to your expectations and not fail. A difficult task for us humans.Robert, you have already met, and exceeded my expectations, and I commend you for it, I have always admired the way you write and research, when I would have questions, you would expound, when I had doubts, you had confirmations, and when I would critique, you would be a gentleman about it. I have always, and WILL always, admire your knowledge, truthfulness as you see it, and your opinion. God Bless your Robert, and stay who you are!! Your friend, and fan in pen........Gary. By the way, love that sense of humor too!!
What a wonderful article. A tribute to some wonderful people. Thank you for sharing your sentiments.Linda DLinda, oh it is my pleasure to write about folks where I appreciate their work, I am writing these acknowledgements in parts, and you will be there as well.....I just couldn't do it all at once...the system was really slow, I think I will start doing this on Microsoft Word, then cut and paste, it will probably be allot faster!!! Thank you for you great comment, and keep an eye out for part II , Your friend in pen.......Gary
Gary, you are what SearchWarp is all about. A family of writers and, of course, me. :-)You inspire us all and encourage us to write more and better. I just wish I was able to read as many articles as you seem to be able to do. I shouldn't use work as an excuse, but this 'retirement job' of mine really keeps me hoping. But I'll try harder because I know there are a lot of good writers out there. And thanks for mentioning me again in this article, as you did in the last. I feel like I belong to a very special group of people and I am grateful.David, its my pleasure, I'm just giving the credit where the credit is due....I have chosen to be a part of SearchWarp, because it's the talent and calibur of writers that we have on this site. I think we have the best of the best, and I am very honored to be a part of it. I have the best of all worlds, I can do what I love to do, and that is write, and I can read some of the best, and most entertaining and informative articles on the net!!!! I love being a fan of yours, and everybody else that I have on my list, because of the quality of work that everybody does on here....I never get tired of it. I have to praise those who are responsible for responsible of maintaining SearchWarp, for those of us who are here to hone our skills, or express those that we have already perfected.....Thanks again for reading my work David, you know it means allot to me to have you comment......Your fan.....and friend in pen.....Gary
Gary,Now how can I not give you 5 stars for this one? You have a marvelous ability to judge others' writings in a way I wish I could -- good writing consists of style and I have yet to find my own -- working at it -- but you really do give an accurate and fair assessment of others' skills. I think you missed your calling earlier in life; however, you are blessed in that you now have the time to pursue that which you so much enjoy.Thank you for including me; I was touched.NancyP.S. Oh, and thank you for telling me about this one. I have received no notifications from SearchWarp about anything since prior to Friday. Was beginning to think no one was reading about Tasha and wondered if my title was the reason.Nancy, they always say that when someone writes about your, or wants to immulate what you do, that is the highest of compliments to the author, poet, or performer. You are a jewel, and I would still love your work if you gave me two stars for this one. You are and do what you do., (figure that statement out) hee..hee..hee...I do honestly love your work...your heart is in it, and it is so clear what you write about, that I can "See" it. You keep up the good work, we at SearchWarp need this kind of creativity, and I for one will always be your fan!!! Your fan, and friend in pen....Gary.
