Have you ever received those e-mails that say "You Have Been Blessed by the Money Angel"? I have never seen one, not even to this day, have you? And I even passed it on to everyone in my address book like the memo told me to! That was 2 months ago...Nada, nothing. Also, have you ever received those e-mails that tell you "If you read this prayer, and send it to 7 people, you will receive something that you have wanted in 1 month". "If you send this to 15 people, you will have something that you have always wanted within 1 week". And "If you send this prayer to all the people in your address book, you will be blessed, and something will come to you that you have always wanted within 24 hrs".? Nada. Zilch. Zip! Now, just to set your mind at ease, I still feel blessed, no matter what...but these e-mails, where do they start from? Who initiates them? I have no idea.
Then I have also received e-mails that say somewhat the opposite, "If you don't pass this on to at least 7 people, you will have 6 months of bad luck ". I would love to know where these e-mails are generated, and who sits around and writes these things? Most of these are forwarded to me by family and friends. Of course, you don't want to risk 6 months of bad luck, and to be on the "safe side", just in case, you send it to everybody in your address book, subjecting everyone you love, to this evil e-mail! Why would you want to forward an e-mail to your loved ones, that if you were superstitious, could give them 6 months of bad luck? Do people send it on, just in case it's true, YOU will get the bad luck, and not whoever sent it? That's kind of shallow dontcha think?
I would believe that there is a much better way to express scriptures, and reading a simple prayer, than to "reward" you to do it with something that you have always wanted, or to threaten you with 6 months bad luck for not reading the prayer or poem sent to us. Teresa Ortiz is always kind enough to offer us her wonderful blessings, as well as others on SearchWarp, without consequence and indulgence. I believe this to be the most constructive way to wish someone your blessings. I certainly appreciate Teresa, and others that express "God Bless You", or other wonderful blessings.
What do you think about this? Do you get visits from the "Money Angel" emails? How about the ones that offer you something for reading that prayer or blessing? Or 6 months of bad luck for not reading the prayer or blessing someone wants to bestow upon you? Do you get these? Do you forward these words of "wisdom" to your loved ones? I don't. I take the Teresa Ortiz approach, in just wishing them a simple blessing, or a quoted scripture without consequence. I receive these wonderful blessings from my SearchWarp brothers and sisters, and those blessings I embrace. That said, I want to bless each and every one of you, that have bestowed these wonderful blessings to me, I am truly blessed with wonderful friends on SearchWarp.

Grrrrrrrrrr, oh well, I guess there is no answer for this but hey, it was fun to write about....Thank you sweetie for reading my article, and I am lovin that silver!!!! Your fan, and friend in pen.......Gary....
Gary, you maka-me-blush. I hate these emails. I never forward, I always delete. God's blessing is not subject to minutes and formula's. I am especially saddened by the ones that say "look at this picture, then make a wish". I have even told my friends and family members in the past not to send them if there is a stipulation attached. But I think they forgot. :-), Some are even hurt. It can be a touchie thing. Whatever happened to just "making your request known to God" Phill 4:8. Your friend, TeresaTeresa, Well said, well put. I agree with your input. I have never known God, to put stipulations on a blessing, or a well wiser, or quoting scripture...no rumors of doom, no vast amount of monies made, or given to you by a "Money Angel" What is that anyway? ha ha.....I really liked using you for a reference, because your ways of blessing are sincere and meaningful, no threats, no bubble gum from the bubble gum angel....your blessings are much appreciated by this writer, and all who read your articles, thank you for commenting, it means allot to me, and I am your fan, and friend in pen.....Gary....and thanks again for commenting!!!! God Bless.Hi Gary,I value your input as well :-) You are writing too fast for me, I can't keep up with your red-hot fingers. ha!Blessings..but only if... hee, hee
Loved your article. The ones that make me the angriest are the ones about if you love Jesus. I don't think Jesus wants people to feel like they are being goaded into professing Him as Lord. That's enought out of me.Thank You,Linda DLinda, I totally agree with you, and I appreciate the fact that you took the time to read my article. These are aggervating to me, and I have no idea how they even get started. And if someone wants to will us well, and blessings that is okay, I just don't like to pass them on, and I am with you on this one....I hate it when they try and make me feel guilty....Thanks again for reading my article, I actually have better ones than this, I just thought this needed to be said.....(I was thinking out loud) hee..hee..hee...thanks again, Your friend in pen.....Gary....I will stop by and check out your latest...ta ta for now
I concur with all those who have already commented. Some of these emails are really good, but then there is that 'threat', that if you don't forward this email, etc., etc., etc. I now find myself just deleting these types of emails without even reading them.
